The White House was lit in pink lights to honor breast cancer awareness month. A lot of people stood outside the gate on Thursday to watch the White House illuminate. President Obama says "Every year, too many Americans are touched by the pain and hardship caused by breast cancer — a disease that, among women, is not only one of the most common cancers, but also one of the leading causes of cancer-related death," He is absolutely right. There are too many people in our country whose lives are affected by cancer. It warms my heart that Obama will light up his home to show his support for the disease. It is very important that our next president shows this much care for Americans being hurt by this every day.
